What other bloggers have said about Taylor's investigative work...
On Taylor's Iranian badge reporting... "Taylor Marsh, who has done some substantial original reporting on this story from her blog, has a detailed and very interesting post today exploring the question of who bears original and ultimate responsibility for the manufacture and distribution of this false story. Be sure to follow the links to Taylor's other posts where you can see the chronology of her impressive journalistic involvement in this story." - Glenn Greenwald
"Taylor Marsh has been all over this one." - Matt Stoller
"I noted this in an update to my earlier post, but a good deal of the work on the bogus yellow star story has been done by Taylor Marsh as you can see here on her site. As she says, the question still remains: "Who started the Iranian badge story?" - Talking Points Memo -- Matthew Yglesias
As for Taylor's piece about John Bolton... Matt Stoller of MyDD had only one word: "wow."
TAYLOR MARSH
"We are seeing the major blogs splitting into pro-Obama and pro-Clinton sites. There's a noticeable trend among those who favor Obama to go to Daily Kos, and for the Clinton fans to go to [blogger] Taylor Marsh," said Ian Faerstein, editor and writer for "The Blogometer," a frequently updated gauge of the blogosphere psyche on National Journal's Hotline, a daily online political briefing. - Washington Times

Taylor Marsh is a talk radio personality, national blog reporter and author
who’s been a consistent political, social and cultural force on TV and
radio for over 15 years. She focuses on political commentary, foreign policy,
military and national security issues, but is a respected analyst on all things
political as she turns to the ’08 elections with some of the best candidate
and election commentary available. But that's not all, her relationship and
cultural expertise, with research and experience to back it up, rivals anyone.
On the web since 1996, Marsh shifted to blogging and blog reporting in late
2005, where her presence and impact have been explosive, though nothing prepared
her for the Hillary hatred that would be unleashed in her direction in the 2008
primary season. But she's making waves and cited everywhere, including by Howie
Kurtiz of the Washington Post, as well as The New York Times
online. An upcoming profile in The New Republic focuses on Taylor's
role in the '08 primary race, which obviously revolves around her support of
Clinton. Taylor's adopted home is Los Angeles, California.
Marsh first began bombarding the radio airwaves from Los Angeles in the 1990s and has been interviewed on radio across the country, as well as television, including the Washington Journal. In 2002 Marsh launched her radio show in Las Vegas. In September, 2006, "Taylor Marsh LIVE" began streaming live Monday – Thursday, 3-4 p.m. eastern time on her blog, while she continues to seek out a permanent home for her radio show beyond the web.
No one is covering the 2008 primary season like Taylor Marsh, on radio or online, with quotes of her posts on MSNBC (including audio of guest appearance), as well as NBC's First Read. Taylor participated in C-SPAN's first ever video teleconferencing (video here and here). Marsh also honors her word, even when it gets into silly territory (video link does not play in Firefox).
Marsh was chosen to be on the board to the YearlyKos leadership forum, advising the YK committee in charge of the presidential forum; as well as being a participant on the “Hot Topics” panel that preceded the presidential forum. During election 2006, Taylor worked for The
Patriot Project and was an official web strategist for John Kerry's PAC, Keeping
America’s Promise. She worked independently in 2006 for Senator-elect James
Webb and Congressman-elect Joe Sestak. Marsh covered the
SEIU lock-out of nurses in Las Vegas, Nevada, which, through MyDD, was sponsored
by the SEIU. AFSCME sponsored her coverage of the first Democratic forum of the '08 season. She’s interviewed many people, including Scott Kesterson, who is the only U.S. imbedded photojournalist now in Afghanistan. Marsh’s interviews and research including military, foreign policy experts, as well as people in the diplomatic community, make her one of the few women talking about these traditionally male issues at a critical time in American politics where women's roles in determining the outcome of elections is central.
Taylor Marsh’s political expertise includes committed study and research
into foreign affairs and military issues that has made her one of the few women
talking about complex, international (and traditionally male) subjects, whether
on TV, radio or in the blogosphere. She's been interviewed on C-SPAN for Washington
Journal, and has interviewed Nixon era John Dean, Krinsten Breitweiser and many
others on a well versed range of topics, including the military, torture and
of course politics. In 2005, Marsh wrote, produced and performed “Weeping
for J.F.K.,” a one woman political tour de force staged in Los Angeles
that traces politics from 1960 to today.
Additionally, Taylor's investigative work into the sex
trade business, prostitution and phone sex spanned over 10 years and included
interviews with real desperate housewives, single, married and divorced women,
religious of all stripes, and lots and lots and lots of men (well over 1,500)
and women (when she was relationship consultant and columnist for alt newsweekly
LA Weekly). Taylor’s experience, research and expertise was excerpted in Net.SeXXX: Investigating Sex, Pornography,
and the Internet by Dennis Waskul, a Utah professor who calls Taylor's
book "a great gutsy story about something that is normally written about
from a distance."

Marsh’s research on the bogus
Iranian badge story revealed facts through surprising sources that ended
up being quoted in Larry Cohler-Esses’s report for The Jewish Week.
Marsh also investigated Vice President Dick Cheney’s shooting
incident through rifle field tests, postulating first that the vice president
was closer than 30 yards when he accidentally shot Mr. Whittingham.
When she launched a
public campaign to interview John Bolton on U.S. foreign policy goals, all
hell broke loose.
Marsh has been quoted on The New York Times website and CBSNews.com, as well as USA
Today, the L.A. Times, Reuters,
Studio City and Sherman Oaks Sun,
Las Vegas Sun, Las Vegas Weekly, Las Vegas City Life and Newsbytes.
She has also appeared as a featured guest in international documentaries and
on nationally syndicated radio shows across the country talking about politics,
foreign affairs and military issues. Marsh has been seen on TV satellite interviews
across the country for over a decade. Taylor's guest posts and reporting have
also been seen on Firedoglake, Crooks and Liars, Huffington Post and MyDD, as
well as Alternet and Smirking Chimp, among others.
As for the past, she’s a former Broadway performer and Miss Missouri,
and was honored by the Missouri State Senate twice. Not to mention she was "Miss
Friendship" to the Miss Teenage America Pageant, though Republicans who
debate Taylor on TV and radio would certainly take issue with that title. Taylor
has a B.F.A. from Stephens College.
"Taylor Marsh, a journalist and insightful American politics watcher from Missouri, a bellwether state. She re-informed me with her sometimes unconventional, but never uninformed writings. More importantly, she's often ahead of the curve." -
Dartmouth Observer
