Bush on Defense over Spying

Bush on Defense over Spying

Terror Guy is about to offer presidential pearls on all things terror, including
the NSA spying, which is to be center stage in this speech. Jim VandeHei compared it to his Social Security campaign, as
well as the Iraq war campaign, post Saddam. We all know how well that went. Good luck.

As it started, George was in his best droppin' those endin's of his words.
… I'll have more as it proceeds, stay tuned…

UPDATE… HERE ARE SOME
THOUGHTS, Terror Guy spoke…

What's it like to be president? I'm a decision maker. Decision
maker is the job description.

He delegated the job of designing the oval office rug. He gave
that job to Laura.

You can't lead the nation unless you're optimistic about the future.

On September 11th we were attacked. (You knew he'd mention
it sooner or later.)

I knew after September 11th the attack would fade in people's
memory.

In fact, I told people to go on with your life. I knew at times
people would say it's an isolated incident, but for me it isn't an isolated
incident.

There is an enemy, which is relentless and desirous to hurt us.

… … We will find them, we will hunt them down and we will
bring them to justice…

It requires a different kind of response.

This is where he started running down his accomplishments in a
sort of fantasy rhetoric that would have worked if you didn't read the newspapers.

He was big on the safety of oceans and geography. Oceans were
mentioned several times.

Early in his first term he saw a
threat of Saddam Hussein… OY, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO LISTEN TO THIS AGAIN…

The speech is rambling on as I post
this… I'll keep listening, but mind you, WE'RE NOW LISTENING TO TERROR GUY'S
RATIONALIZATION FOR THE IRAQ WAR… AGAIN

The message in this speech so far
is this: Bush is on the defensive, full out court press defense.

more to come….
