The reality that Bush's illegal wiretaps aren't working deserves
as much attention as we can give it. But not for the reason you think. The latest
evidence comes from none other than the Washington Times.
This works in very well with Terror Guy's political propaganda
today, timed perfectly to ratchet the terror alert to red. Nothing like a little
fear to keep the people's attention focused. But, unfortunately for Bush, his
bravura has been busted by one of his own.
The Bush administration's
surveillance policy has failed to make a dent in the war against al Qaeda.
U.S. law enforcement sources said that more than four years of surveillance
by the National Security Agency has failed to capture any high-level al Qaeda
operative in the United States. They said al Qaeda insurgents have long stopped
using the phones and even computers to relay messages. Instead, they employ
couriers. “They have been way ahead of us in communications security,”
a law enforcement source said. “At most, we have caught some
riff-raff. But the heavies remain free and we believe some of them are in
the United States.” Insight

It's time to take the mantle of national security back from
the incompetent president and vice president, who profess one thing in public,
when just the opposite is actually true. This has happened time and time again, as Bush and Cheney tout their strengths on national security when it actually is a myth.
As John F. Kennedy said, “the great enemy of truth is very often not the lie … but the myth.” It's a line I use in my show.
This blog is focused on national security and military matters, as well as other national subjects. Today, I'm asking for your support. I'm launching a t-shirt line, which really
says what this blog and I'm all about. It's really simple. It's time to reclaim
our history, the legacy of FDR, Truman and JFK.
