Lieberman in Lock Step with Bush

Lieberman in Lock Step with Bush

“I think my fellow Democrats, my friends
in the labor movement are saying, `That's one part of a long record of service
in the United States Senate. Even if we disagree with him on the Iraq war, we
agree with him on everything else,'” Lieberman said. Senator
On A Roundup Mission

Lieberman sounds as clueless as Bush on the Dubai port debacle.

Iraq is not just one issue. It symbolizes a seminal split between
the right foreign policy and the wrong foreign policy. It is a decision that
went against American national security interests. It turned the Middle East
into a caldron of anti-American hatred.

Then you have Senator Dodd insinuating that, to quote the article,
“Every Democrat who will be seeking office in November is stronger with
Lieberman on the ballot.”

There is no evidence whatsoever that this is true, even out here
in the west looking in.

Over 55% of
the American people now believe the Iraq war was a mistake. They've seen Bush
incompetence
turn apocalyptic this week. Juan Cole, being interviewed on CNN
this morning, said it's worse than Lebanon was in the bad old days. Worse than
Lebannon?

Lieberman is in lock step with Bush on “staying the course.”
Democrats have put forth a detailed plan for Iraq, with the help of a former
Reagan aide, but Joe sides with Bush. This is not just a small issue. It's the
issue. Americans want an alternative.

Taking our country to war is the most important thing our legislators
do. A president doesn't have that authority, unless Congress gives it to him.
We are currently witnessing a White House out of control, making deals with
9/11 connected, government-owned corporations for cash on matters of homeland
security. Joe Lieberman is one of the reasons Bush is out of control and on
a power grab campaign. Lieberman chose not to check the president's power at
every turn.

With a smile, Lieberman denied that he
was taking attendance in Hartford, then told a reporter, “But if you do,
send me the list.”

Lieberman is worried and he has a right to be. Ted
Lamont
is a serious challenger with passionate, politically savvy people
aiding
Lamont's efforts
. Keep the heat on Joe.
