Antonin Scalia: The King of Coarse

Antonin Scalia: The King of Coarse

“Vaffanculo.”
The Right's King of Coarse.

“The judge paused for a second, then looked directly into my lens and
said, ‘To my critics, I say, ‘Vaffanculo,’ ” punctuating
the comment by flicking his right hand out from under his chin, Smith said.

The Italian phrase means “(expletive) you.”

Finally, the art is released.

Does anyone doubt what Justice Scalia meant? Granted, if there weren't aren't art we wouldn't even be talking about this, but there is, so we are. The lecturing likes of Mr. Scalia get to talk about their Christianity and piety as if they are beyond such mortal moments of flipping off critics. But as we can see by the picture, Justice Scalia offered up the Sicilian version of the “f” word. Since we're always being lectured by all the president's people, Scalia's crudeness and crass response, straight from church, mind you, is at least worth a mention. Who exactly is coarsening the culture, huh?
