How Would a Patriot Act?

How Would a Patriot Act?

The project editor for the book, Jennifer Nix, was the
editor responsible for the publication of George Lakoff's book, Don't Think
of an Elephant: Know Your Values and Frame the Debate, which was published independently
and, as a result of Nix's marketing strategies, became one of the best-selling
books of 2004, spending weeks on the New York Times' bestseller list. Jennifer
also was the acquiring editor for Crashing the Gate, the new book by Jerome
Armstrong and Markos Moulitsas Zuniga. And the editor of Crashing
the Gate
, Safir Ahmed, is editing my book as well. — Glenn
Greenwald

Glenn Greenwald has a new
book coming out. It's wonderful news.

As regular readers know, I've done the publishing tango many times before,
so I know how hard it is to get a book out into the public. I published one
book on the realities of web porn, but presented several books to publishers
on the subject of relationship and marriage. With Greenwald's new book, progressives
are formally declaring war on the screed merchant Regnery Publishing. The first salvo was launched through “Crashing
the Gate”
and other books.

The heroine of this story is Jennifer Nix. I salute Jennifer for spiriting Glenn's book quickly into print, which will be this May. Talk about an “instant book.” With Jennifer's tenacity and Glenn's legal prowess and writing speed, it sounds like a formidable team.
