Loofah Man Loses It

Loofah Man Loses It

What does Bill O'Reilly have in common with Karl Rove? The obsessive gene,
only Bill's obsessed with Keith.

“Mirror, mirror, in my hand,
who's the fairest in the land?”

The mirror replies, “Keith Olbermann, I cannot lie.”
…the next sound heard is a crash of glass.

Mike Stark is involved with
Jane's
Project Roots, as are many of us. It's about local activism, with my part of
it focused, as always, on radio and getting anyone to listen to me about the
need for Dems on terrestrial radio.

And speaking of alien behavior, what happened next is hilarious.

Mike called into O'Reilly's radio show yesterday and got slammed. This from
Atrios

O'REILLY: Orlando, Florida, Mike, go.

CALLER: Hey Bill, I appreciate you taking my call.

O'REILLY: Sure.

CALLER: I like to listen to you during the day, I think
Keith Olbermann's show –

O'REILLY: There ya go, Mike is — he's a gone guy.
You know, we have his — we have your phone numbers, by the way. So, if you're
listening, Mike, we have your phone number, and we're going to turn it over
to Fox security, and you'll be getting a little visit.

I've been involved with radio since the late 1990s and I've never heard of such
a tantrum by a radio host. Everyone uses the “dump” button, but O'Reilly
just kept ranting. This is something most would take in his or her stride, especially
since O'Reilly started this cable duel.

Instead, O'Reilly went out of his way to threaten Mike with police action for
him having called into his show and uttered the words “Keith Olbermann.”

What does “the big giant head” expect when he goes on “The O'Reilly
Factor,” starts up a petition to get Keith Olbermann kicked off the air,
then replaced by Phil Donohue, which comes on the heels of lots of other insane
assertions from Big Headed Bill.?

But threatening a caller because he uses Keith Olbermann's name?

“Maybe Mike is going to get in big trouble,” said O'Reilly, threatening
to have Fox security go to the local police, so that they can contact the caller.

According to Keith tonight, Mike's call, which had been on O'Reilly's site,
is now gone. It's been expurgated. I wonder why? O'Reilly evidently takes his cues from Deborah Howell.

But this b.s. about Fox security going after a caller is the most ridiculous
thing I've ever heard. A lawyer on “Countdown” said the obvious, that
O'Reilly can't threaten a caller with the police force, because he's done nothing
wrong, not to mention the police aren't his very own personal force.

The Bill O'Reilly police are going to laugh at him. But Bill warns Mike anyway. BWAAAAAAAAAAA.

It's a radio show, Bill, thank God you have callers. At this rate, you'll be lucky to keep them.
