C-SPAN Good Morning
![]() |
| God bless this country and the patriotic Democratic Americans who are fighting to restore her honor. |
First, I want to thank Steve Scully and everyone at Washington Journal, as
well as C-SPAN, for arranging a satellite feed from Las Vegas. Zumi at Cover
Edge was a doll. He stayed up all night, instead of trying to catch some shut
eye, due to springing forward and a late night. That was my plan b, but I'm
glad I was able to get to bed fairly early and feel rested this morning.
Boy, does C-SPAN have a lot of viewers… and they like to email! Thanks to
everyone sending comments in, I so appreciate them. You have no idea what it
means to hear feedback like I'm getting today. It's just a remarkable thing
and I'm grateful.
I heard from Christy over at FDL, who was her ever gracious self, sending me
a “Fabulous, dahling!” email, which means so much.
As for my right-wing partner, Rick Moran, he was a gentleman and I appreciated
being on with him. Let's just understand that we are building long-term bases
right now and that's the truth. As for Helen Thomas, again, Republicans have
gotten so used to everything they say being rubber stamped by the media, when
someone stands up and talks back they don't know what to do. When a WOMAN does
it, Republicans enter a total freak out mode. Interesting how Republicans embrace
the likes of Ann Coulter, Melanie Morgan and even Laura Ingraham, but find Helen
Thomas uppity.
Steve Scully and Washington Journal, after a zillion right-wing radio smack
downs, was truly a treat. To have such a fair host, who gave me such a wide
platform on which I could share my views, was a rare experience. Still not sure
what he's talking about regarding “provocative” content, unless he's
talking about my book, which was ages ago. Researching relationship and sexuality
all those years ago does take a person into, let's just say, interesting
territory. Steve did surprise me with the Miss Missouri question. Talk about
doing your homework! It's always worth a chuckle looking back on my pageant
days.
One last note, I had an email waiting from my big brother when I got home.
He'd read my blog and tuned in. We don't talk much during March Madness, because
he's just too distracted. He's my hero, the one that got me involved in politics
a long time ago. We had a nice chat. I owe him so much. Conversations like today
are just so cherished.
Anyway, I'm going to take a nap now. Keep those emails coming. I love hearing
what you have to say.
P.S. …almost forgot! Compliments of Zumi at Cover Edge, I'm now a proud owner of a Deadeye Dick inspired, Las Vegas Wranglers' DON'T SHOOT! I'M HUMAN, dayglo orange vest. I love it. Thanks, Zumi.
