The Mad Minefield of Michelle Malkin

The Mad-Mad-Mad Minefield of Michelle Malkin

War protesting isn't what it used to be.

The anti-troops brigade at UC Santa Cruz has now called
in the left-wing blogosphere's kings of hate to attack me. For what? For linking
to a Students Against War press release bragging about booting military recruiters
off campus and for re-posting publicly available contact info for the SAW
press machine.

See here
and here for background.

The unhinged lefty bloggers who did and said nothing
to condemn the violent tactics of the UC Santa Cruz thugs are treating me
like I'm the terrorist. I'm not going to bother linking. You can find their
trash easily enough on any search engine. While they whine about the death
threats that SAW organizers allegedly received, you should see the filth and
threats against my family that their minions are sending. Here's an uncensored
sample (and by the way, the disclaimer on my contact page makes clear, “All
e-mail is subject to print, including your name. If you don't want me to publish
your e-mail, or if you would like to remain anonymous, just let me know.”)
… … Michelle Malkin

Malkin just loves this stuff. Stirring it up. Egging people on.

Today, Keith Olbermann named here “Worst
Person in the World.”

Crooks
and Liars
has a video, which gives the background of the story.

Malkin has called anti-war protesters seditious, but for turning
the heat up on Students Against the War in Santa Cruz, then posting phone numbers
of their “ad-hoc press team” on her blog — and refusing to take them
off — Malkin has caused a riot.

Well, at least she's taken the photos down. Big of her, really.

I'm sure her speaking fees just went up a notch.

And she calls us “moonbats.” She definitely earned the title wing-nut
today. I can't imagine posting personal phone numbers on the web.

But let's face it, war protesting has never been a candy and flowers event.
Am I the only one who remembers pictures of the 1960s? Come on.

But phone numbers on the web reach a lot of people. It's an invasion of personal
privacy that could put people in further danger. For that act she received some
pretty testy and profanity-laced emails, which she also shows on her blog.

Sticks and stones, baby, words are not going to hurt you. Yes, phone numbers
can always be changed. One wonders how fast Malkin's lawyer would whip into
action if someone put her private number on the web.

George W. Bush's war in Iraq is tearing this country apart.

SAW protested military recruiters at Santa Cruz, which needs the federal funding.
It's getting closer and closer to the edge. The anger in this country over George
W. Bush's failed, weak and corrupt policies is erupting.

Today's podcast
is about Iraq, covering this
post
, which got quite a few people riled up today. It won't be the last
post on Iraq. But with each passing day I get more convinced that a deadline
to form an Iraqi government is our only way out. Even then, until Bush is gone
or we take back Congress, we'll be sending soldiers to live on the long-term
bases in Iraq for years.

What a difference a declaration of war would have made.
