Bush Trades ‘Mission Accomplished’ for ‘Turning Point’

Bush Trades “Mission Accomplished” for “Turning
Point”

Holy heroes, my fellow Americans, no sooner than I said Tony Snowjob needed
to get busy on a new slogan we have one. Gadzooks, preemption and all things
kaboom, don't look now but we've got a “Turning
Point”
in Iraq.

Who knew?

Geez, I feel all oozy inside, don't you? After all this time we finally have
a “Turning
Point.”
And there was even press there to capture the event. How convenient, right?

Somebody should tell Leslie Gelb, the former president of the Council on Foreign
Relations, along with Senator Biden, who argue today that “Mr. Bush has spent three
years in a futile effort to establish a strong central government in Baghdad.”

Evidently, they didn't get the memo. Boys, come on, we've reached a “Turning
Point.”

Yippe-aye-oh-kay-ay!

But still, on Monday of “Mission Accomplished” they gathered, to see if their
screw ups still mattered. No, this isn't a rhyme, just the bottom line of Bush's
lies, obfuscations and failings, which will leave us in Iraq for all time.

But Snowjob and Bush should have checked with the American people about this
new slogan. “Turning Point” doesn't exactly cover our assessment of
the asses in charge. Only 9% believe “Mission Accomplished” described the disaster
in the desert. Around 44% believe “Mission Accomplished” will never
describe what we've done in Iraq.

Three years after President Bush declared major combat over in Iraq, Americans
have strong doubts that the United States will fulfill the promise of his
“Mission Accomplished” backdrop, a poll released Monday found.

The CNN poll, conducted April 21-23 by Opinion Research Corporation, found
that only 9 percent thought the U.S. mission in Iraq had been accomplished,
while 40 percent believed it would be complete someday.

An additional 44 percent said the United States would never accomplish its
goals in Iraq, where American troops are still battling insurgents three years
after the invasion that toppled former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein.

Vast majority
believes Iraq mission not accomplished

I can't wait until everyone weighs in on “Turning Point.” If Bush
and his bunch were as good at plans for Iraq as they are at handy dandy slogans
we would be out of Iraq by now.

Oh, and did you hear? Bill Kristol is feeling depressed, demoralized and de…
something else, I forget what, yet again. The neocons
are bolting
. He is pheklempt. It's enough to make a grown woman weep. The poor weaklings now running the show from the White House have decided that preemptive war is out. Alert the media, because they haven't a clue.
