What do Republicans think dissenting veterans deserve? They should be murdered
by their own.

Peter Daou we get the latest installment of the stick shiksa's insanity.
Only this time, not only did Ann enunciate how Republicans really feel about
veterans, but she also gave us the bottom line when those vets turn out to be
dissenting Democrats. The Republicans have done it time and again to soldiers,
mostly through their policies, but now they've sent their spokesperson out to
make it clear.

to what Bush did to McCain, to what Ralph Reed did to Max Cleland, to what Karl
Rove & Co. allowed to be done to John
Kerry through the Swiftboat Veterans, the Republicans have proven they only
like soldiers who are silent, serving their purposes, while standing up for
whatever the Republicans say is right. They have proven their willingness to use soldiers for their own purposes, as well as stand them up for their photo ops.
The one person who not only personifies this theory but promotes it for the
president is Ann Coulter, the darling
of the Republican elite.
Ann Coulter
has been embraced, feted and given the floor from the “Today” show
to late night to Fox “News” and into right-wing radio. Sean Hannity
made her the star for one of his shows. Hosting a book signing for Ann that
was broadcast via radio for segment after segment so she could spew her venomous
message. Republicans embrace Ann Coulter. She is their messenger and they're
proud of it. The acceptance of Ann Coulter shows the true vile Republicans have
for real veterans, especially those who dare to speak for soldiers currently
serving in a war.
John Hawkins: Earlier this year, Sean Penn admitted that he keeps an Ann
Coulter doll around that he tortures for fun. Any comment on that beyond the
fact that Penn is obviously mentally disturbed?Ann Coulter: I'd always suspected that Sean Penn was the type of “man”
who plays with dolls, but I assumed that he liked the life-sized ones you
have to inflate first.John Hawkins: There has been some controversy over your supposedly voting
in the wrong precinct in Florida. Can you tell us anything about that?Ann Coulter: No, I can't.
John Hawkins: How about dashing off a quick sentence or even just a word
or two about the following individuals…John Murtha: The reason soldiers invented “fragging.”

Daou explains the term frag, but it was taken from the frag grenade, which
was often thrown into a tent of a soldier his buddies wanted to eliminate. The
movie “Platoon” used the term and the tactic to stark cinematic affect.
This is not a joke.
What Ann Coulter said about Murtha is an attempt to incite the public. It is
tremendously dangerous, especially given the wingnuts that applaud and worship at the stick
shiksa's feet.
That the Republican Party and traditional media continue to give her a platform,
as if she's some cuddly little wind up doll good for viewers and ratings, shows
the imbalance in what they consider, not only real discussion, but appropriate
commentary on our veterans and soldiers. That they haven't the courage to confront her is even worse.
Pick any Democratic, liberal or progressive and imagine any of us saying that a decorated Marine veteran, who also happens to be fighting to bring
an end to the war, should be fragged. Would that progressive be feted from radio
to the “Today” show? The answer is a resounding NO.
So why is Ann Coulter getting away with inciting murder of a decorated 37-year Marine?
