We Don't Need Democrats Like Hurricane Blanco

Blanco, the two of you have a lot in common. Unfortunately, Blanco is a Democrat,
or masquerades as one. I was up very late doing research, so when I
heard what Blanco is planning to do I had to read it 3 or 4 times.
I had my doubts about Hurricane Blanco after Katrina, but cut everyone down
in the gulf a whole lot of slack, mainly because of Bush and FEMA's incompetence.
But after reading the latest from her there's just no other way to say it. She's
got to go.
Blanco is also the reason I always think hard and then bite my tongue every
time I say we should welcome pro-life people into the Democratic Party. Everyone
has his or her own beliefs, but we're a pro-privacy party; a party that respects
equality and the rights of women to have domain over our own body. When in office
people need to act like Democrats, otherwise, honestly, what good is it? A Democrat
should be able to be pro-life, then uphold party… Oh, geez, I can't even buy
what I'm saying right now. It's why my Democratic
and progressive friends warn me about being so welcoming.
The Louisiana legislature just passed a bill banning all abortions. You know
where I'm going, right? Democratic governor Blanco says she'll sign it. I guess
Hurricane Blanco wants to inspire the coat hanger business down in the bayou.
The governor evidently wants to rip through women's lives with the same nonchalant
way she handled the coming carnage of Katrina. I'm very moderate on abortion
and pro-choice issues, but banning abortion is unacceptable. Is Blanco already
too old to understand what signing this bill would mean to women. Sign
a bill with no exception for rape or incest victims.
Gov. Kathleen Blanco said Thursday that she'll sign a near-total ban on abortion
– without exceptions for rape or incest victims – that is nearing final legislative
passage. The Louisiana House and Senate have approved the measure by Sen. Ben Nevers,
D-Bogalusa, but it awaits one final approval from the Senate of House changes
before it reaches Blanco's desk. It only would allow abortion in cases where
the woman's life is in danger or when childbirth would permanently harm her
health. The bill could only go into effect if the U.S. Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade
decision is overturned.“I anticipate signing that bill. It's got a safety measure for extreme
situations for the life of the mother and some other health issues,”
Blanco said in an interview with The Associated Press.
Ramesh and Hurricane Blanco belong together. If a recall isn't possible for
good old Kathleen, someone should have the guts to introduce legislation down
in Louisiana to make it so. Then they should kick her ass out to the New Orleans
curb. As a Democrat, she's a disgrace. But as a woman, she's a sell out and makes me ashamed.
