Conservative Adulterers in ’08!

Conservative Adulterers in '08!

Now that's a slogan to run on, I'd say.

We've got three from which to choose: Gingrich, Giuliani and McCain (which he admitted in 2000), but the
conservatives are just getting started. This Washington
Monthly
article by Steve Benen runs it down this month, which digby
recently covered.

Right now, Rudy's in view.

Well-connected public figures report that they have been told recently by
Rudolph Giuliani that, as of now, he intends to run for the Republican presidential
nomination in 2008.

The former mayor of New York was on top of last month's national Gallup poll
measuring presidential preferences by registered Republicans, with 29 percent.
Sen. John McCain's 24 percent was second, with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich
third at 8 percent. National polls all year have shown Giuliani running either
first or second to McCain, with the rest of the presidential possibilities
far behind.

Rudy
for President?

I don't know about you, but the fact that Rudy's
first wife was his third cousin
adds extra creep factor for me.

I'm originally from right around Missouri Ozark country, but come on. As for
Rudy blaming the
troops
for Bush's blunder, does anyone even remember that one?

The religious right seems a tad wobbly on whether Rudy, Newt or Senator Suck Up have a potential presidential problem. That seems, hmmmm…. how to put this…. at wee bit hypocritical, don't you think? But they're certainly not going to pick a Mormon, now are they? That would be just unthinkable.

Oh, and we haven't even mentioned old Jeb yet. Remember that rumor, that Bush's brother bedded Katherine Harris? Now that's truly creepy, though right now Ms. Harris may have serious issues going forward. Is she going to pull out of the Senate race? What's up with this story: Does she really have an \”ovarian mass\” or, nah, now I'm just being cynical. If she's truly sick, I feel for her. It would be no laughing matter at all.
