Middle East Escalation

Bush, Coulter, John Fund, it's all related, so stay with me.

Hezbollah just sent rockets into Israel,
so to make our world seem even more surreal, I thought I'd bring yet another
tale of the conservative punditry's collapsing upper tier. After all, these
are the idiots that set up this situation in the Middle East; part of the Republican
Rapture crowd that's brought the Middle East to the brink.

It's an uh-oh for the Stick Shiksa.

I got this little tidbit via email and couldn't resist.

Ann was in Colorado to help raise money for a conservative candidate for governor,
but no one, that's right, no one showed up.

You’re a Republican running for governor, it’s the last week
of the 1st quarter of election year, and a famous right-wing pundit’s
in town — gotta milk that for all it’s worth, right?

If the pundit’s Ann Coulter, maybe not.

But I guess you can’t blame the Beauprez campaign for trying. Back
on March 28, when Coulter brought her one-woman standup routine to the Paramount
Theater in Denver, she hadn’t quite completed her transition from leggy
pundit/author to radioactive slime. So a pre-show meet-greet with the 9/11
Widow Watchdog might still have seemed like a reasonable idea. . . . .

“We found out the hard way,” says former Beauprez for Gov campaign
chief Steve Truebner, “that Ann Coulter is not a major draw for donors.”

Nary a one showed up …

Last time I looked, Ann made $20,000+ working the lecture circuit. If they'll
pay for it, God bless her for getting it. But it seems to me that the Stick
Shiksa's luck may have finally run out.

It's sort of like Bush's tilted pro-Israel, hands-off, Republican Rapture foreign policy. His Administration has lost
our honest broker status and now we've got an escalation that could tip the
entire Middle East into escalation with no return. The conservatives are collapsing. Unfortunately, because of them, so is the Middle East.

West Bank rocket war is on. Nice job, neocons.
