George W. Bush was for getting Osama before he was against it. It reminds me
of one of the best lines in John Kerry's speech today.

As for finally knowing the bottom line on the pre-war intelligence lies coming out of Bush, Cheney
and everyone else in the Administration, thanks to Democrats and two lone Republican
Senators
Chuck Hagel and Olympia Snowe, we finally have the ugly truth about Iraq, and baby,
it's ugly.

On Friday, the White House spokesman, Tony Snow, played down the reports, saying that they contained “nothing new” and were “re-litigating things that happened three years ago.” “The important thing to do is to figure out what you’re doing tomorrow, and the day after, and the month after, and the year after to make sure that this war on terror is won,” Mr. Snow said. The two reports released Friday were expected to be the least controversial aspects of what remains of the Senate committee’s investigation, which will eventually address whether the Bush administration’s assertions about Iraq accurately reflected the available intelligence. If I'd lost a son, daughter, husband or wife in Iraq I just can't imagine my
reaction to this latest news, which can no longer be refuted, though the wingnuts
will try. Republicans I know are walking away from Bush in disgust. When you
look at some of the commercials being aired by Republicans, some have no mention
of being Republican, while others openly walk away from the president.

As for me, I just want to know why Osama is still alive. There's only one reason:
George W. Bush, Rummy and Tommy Franks let him get away at Tora
Bora, because they had a stiff one for Saddam, who wasn't a threat at all. It's as simple as that.
