The Olbermann Blast vs. ABC’s Docu-crap

The Olbermann Blast vs. ABC's Docu-crap

First, I want to thank Howie Klein for stepping in this week and doing such a great set of guest posts. Mark jumping in for Joh was fantastic as well, with Ed expanding his part considerably. The guys really came through for me while I'm traveling and I appreciate it so much. So I just wanted to stop in and say thanks. Also, there's something that can't wait until I get home.

In case you haven't seen it yet, I want to offer up Keith. This is the most amazing performance by a journalist in years. Put in direct contrast with ABC's crap, it's astonishing Olbermann had the stones to do it, let alone that MSNBC allowed it.

Bush gets a memo that Bin Laden was determined to attack inside U.S., yet ABC is about to release some docu-crap that it was all Bill's fault. Oh, and they're going to do it on the 5th anniversary of the tragedy. Never mind that some 9/11 commissioners objected, or that Kean finally showed his true colors. This is an outrage that should not stand. This from Rush

But the program was taken to Washington I think last week, and it was shown to a specially selected group of people, including Democrats and Republicans, former administration officials, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And from what I have been told, the film really zeros in on the shortcomings of the Clinton administration in doing anything about militant Islamofascism or terrorism during its administration. It cites failures of Bill Clinton and Madeleine Albright and Sandy Burglar. And apparently there were a bunch of Clintonoids in the audience who just went nuts during this screening, among them Richard Ben-Veniste, and Ben-Veniste confronted — Michael Barone was there, too, who loved it. Richard Ben-Veniste was there and confronted my friend — his first name is Cyrus, who produced this thing, and from what I'm told it got really vicious with Ben-Veniste being very aggressive and my friend held his ground, and it is suspected by people who were there that there will begin soon an all-out campaign to discredit this film before anybody sees it. I'm not surprised why Clintonoids would want to discredit this.

This ABC docu-crap should be discredited. Unless, of course, they're going to follow up with Bush's brush clearing moment that was followed by his My Pet Goat freeze, which was then followed by him flying around the country on Dick Cheney's order.

This is exactly the ticket for the Republicans, which is the same old – same old. It's what Sean Hannity and the wingnut radio crowd does every day. Blame Bill because they've got nothing else. Think Progress has the rest. Get busy – write ABC.
