Money for Hostages Went to Weapons

Sound familiar?

Well one thing that's not familier is that World Net Daily is outing Fox “News”
on the payoff.

What is it about Republicans giving money to hostage takers? Didn't we learn
anything from Iran-contra? Like they aren't going to use the money for weapons.

Palestinian terror groups and security organizations in the Gaza Strip received
$2 million from a U.S. source in exchange for the release of Fox News employees
Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig, who were kidnapped here last summer, a senior
leader of one of the groups suspected of the abductions told WND.

The terror leader, from the Gaza-based Popular Resistance Committees, said
his organization's share of the money was used to purchase weapons, which
he said would be utilized “to hit the Zionists.”

He said he expects the payments for Centanni and Wiig's freedom will encourage
Palestinian groups to carry out further kidnappings.

Officials associated with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas'
Fatah party and its security organization, the Preventative Security Services,
confirmed to WND money was paid for the release of the Fox News reporters.

Terrorists used cash for arms to 'hit Zionists,' payment said to encourage
more abductions

Fox “News” has so many problems it's hard to lay them all out. But
this bombshell of Huffington Post takes the cake.

“Be On The Lookout For Any Statements From The Iraqi Insurgents…Thrilled
At The Prospect Of A Dem Controlled Congress”… – Huffington
Post

Explains so much about Fox “News,” their anchors and their shows, doesn't
it?

Well, if you haven't gotten the message yet, get ready for their November sweeps campaign. Suffice it to say: O.J. tells all. I'd say to file that one under how low can you go?, but considering this post began with talking about Fox “News” paying terrorists for hostages, it's obvious the bottom hasn't yet been reached.

I want to add one note to the above. Other media outlets have paid money for their people. I'm not sure of the deal with Jill Carroll, but I'm fairly sure the Wall Street Journal was willing to pay for Daniel Pearl's release. It's understandable and plays to the rescue stories and proof of life heroics that happen in corporate kidnappings. However, when you are dealing with terrorists, providing them with cash for arms raises the stakes exponentially. It's dangerous business, no doubt, but it also sends a horrific message.
