Enter John Edwards

Enter John Edwards

Former vice presidential candidate and senator John Edwards was on \”Hardball\”
today, along with his amazing wife Elizabeth.

Iraq was the first topic up front.

The Edwards of today is even more confident and relaxed than he was during
the \’04 campaign. His views on Iraq reflect an education that many senators
who voted for the war have experienced.

Senator Obama gave a speech against the Iraq war at the time, according to Newsweek and others.

Senator Hillary Clinton continues to say the war was prosecuted poorly.

Excuse me but duh.

It\’s good to see Edwards enter the fray. As I said today on my show, Elizabeth Edwards is a heroine to me. I\’ll have a very interesting clip
on my radio show tomorrow of him talking about the unions, with Matthews going
pretty hard at him on it. Edwards is a real champion of unions, because he knows
it\’s the best way to rebuild the middle class in this country. It\’s one of the most interesting things about his candidacy. The way he fights for those still living in poverty and having a champion for Amercian workers through his support of the right to unionize would be an amazing campaign to wage in \’08. I\’m listening.
