Good to be a Democrat
Thought I\’d start the day with a few photos from yesterday, just to finish
out the momentous week it\’s been.
The Netroots party last night was well attended and a lot of fun. It was good
to talk to progressives on such a great day. I also got to see Donna Edwards;
speak with Eric Massa, who was sporting a bright blue tie; as well as talk to
Patrick Murphy again, who spoke briefly.
With Mr. Bush tipping his hat towards escalation next week, Democrats will
have to stand very strong against adding fuel to the Iraq civil war. There aren\’t
too many ways to buck the commander in chief. It can, however, be done. But
it will take great courage and resolve to do it.
The good news, however, is that we are in charge. When you read stories
like this one you can only be glad. The wingnuts are too busy chasing rabbits
to have charge of the serious stuff.
