Longer version: screw the subpoenas, too, because I\’m not giving up Rove.
Bottom line: get ready to hear executive privilege, if needed, or he\’ll go
to court.
Bush gruffly: Who cares if Republicans and Democrats don\’t have confidence
in Gonzo, I do. Stuff it. I\’m the decider.
Unfortunately, Republicans don\’t like Gonzales either, so this isn\’t just about some Democratic \”show trial.\” That term is straight out of the Soviet era. Wonder if it came from Bush\’s war princess? (Got \”wp\” from Soltz.)
