BREAKING… Scooter Libby found guilty on four counts: Guilty on count 1, 2, 4 and 5. Not guilty
on count 3, misleading the F.B.I. It\’s likely they just didn\’t have enough evidence.
Patrick Fitzgerald has done it again.
Libby will likely appeal. No doubt, Firedoglake will have much more.
But know this, the jury found Scooter Libby did lie. I\’m beyond thrilled for Valerie Plame and Joe Wilson. And let\’s get something clear, this may be about lying to reporters, but this is really about LYING ABOUT HOW WE GOT INTO IRAQ.
Oh, Dick, now your legacy is set.
UPDATE (10:10 a.m.): Rush Limbaugh is spinning like a top right now. He just said that Joseph Wilson was \”lying through his teeth.\” It\’s attack Joe Wilson now, saying that believing Wilson is \”obscene.\” The jury \”looked at Libby as the fall guy,\” with Rush saying, \”We have a Martha Stewart conviction.\” \”Class envy victory,\” is Rush\’s verdict from inside his radio studio. Going after Fitz, Rush calls his presser a \”flowery\” statement. Rush then targets Matthews\’ statement representing the \”drive-by media.\” Needless to say, Rush didn\’t appreciate Matthews saying that this whole case was really about the way we went to war. Poor Rush, all this and on the air without his meds.
