Jefferson Must Resign Or…

It’s really simple. The man has been indicted on 16 counts. The 94 page indictment
was a long time coming. Frankly, the man lost me when they found $90 grand in
his freezer. In. His. Freezer. Ninety. Grand.

The Congressional Black Caucus needs to lead on this one, helping pave the
way for Speaker Pelosi to do what’s ri—… Oh, but wait a minute! Boehner beat the Democrats to it. I kid you not.

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) moved quickly to force the expulsion
of Rep. William Jefferson (D-La.) from Congress following his indictment Monday
on federal corruption charges.

The Republican leader will ask members of the House to vote on a resolution
requiring the ethics committee to review the indictment filed against him
in order to seek his expulsion from the House, according to his office.

Boehner will offer a privileged resolution on the House floor as early as
Tuesday calling for the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct to
review the 94-page indictment filed against Jefferson Monday. The House will
then vote on his resolution calling for the ethics panel to act. … ..

Boehner
seeks Jefferson expulsion

The CBC stood by Jefferson when Pelosi wanted to move against him regarding
his post on Ways and Means. It got
quite nasty
, with charges flying. Now the CBC is already on my list because they’re cozying up to Fox “News” for a debate. But if they stand up for Jefferson and provide him cover they’ll also throw Pelosi’s speakership down the drain.

But Speaker Pelosi being caught off guard by John waterworks Boehner. Most disheartening. How the hell did this happen? I’m
with Jerome
. Jefferson resigns or he should get kicked out of the House. Period.
