BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) — At least 100 people were killed and dozens were hurt
in three separate suicide bombings in northern Iraq, police said Tuesday.
Three bombers detonated three trucks laden with explosives in three locations
around 8 p.m., officials said.
The blasts took place in the Yazidi town of Qahtaniya, about 60 miles west
of Mosul. The Yazidi sect is a mainly Kurdish minority.
The bombers targeted residential areas in the town, Qahtaniya and Mosul police
