McCormick Place is huge. However, all you have to do is follow the orange and
white bags given out to everyone attending. I’m listed as “media,”
but the YK people are allowing a lot of flexibility for me on that one so I
can have full access to everything.
Tip of the hat to Gina Cooper and everyone who put this show together. The
entry was flawless and organized, with everyone knowing what’s going on. Need
I say that access to the internets is fast and flawless?
I’m planning on being part of an AFL-CIO meet this week, which I’ve confirmed
with Tula Connell. That’s besides the Hot Topic panel right before the candidate’s forum, among other things that I’ll report on as they unfold. Tease, aren’t I?
When you sign up, you have to designate what presidential candidate you want to visit after the forum. I heard one person say the “Obama and Edwards bands are going fast.” As media, I can be escorted into each room, as space permits. I plan to see everyone.
Oh, and by the way, I wanted to add to something I reported on Joe Biden not attending YearlyKos. I was emailing the campaign and shortly afterwards they put a post up on DailyKos, which is important to offer.
The simple truth is Joe Biden would be at YearlyKos if he could, but adding a book tour to all the demands of a campaign meant some things had to change. But we won’t stand by and let Bill O’Reilly try to drive a wedge between the progressive online community and us to make a false point on behalf of his half-baked theories. While not always agreeing with all members of the DailyKos community, Joe Biden respects what the YearlyKos convention – a diverse assembly of activists and organizations – represents as a vehicle for progressives to organize and advocate on behalf of democratic ideals and the Democratic Party.
It was in response to what Bill-O said on his show.

Once again, O’Reilly doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. The trend continues on Fox “News” all day long.
Also ran into Jesse Lee, who is a major force in Speaker Pelosi’s office. We exchange
a lot of emails, so it’s always good to connect and say hello.
I’m stepping in to see a film sponsored by Brave New Films, “9/12.”
You can guess what it’s about, “a scrappy group of New Yorkers who volunteered
at Ground Zero.” I can’t see anything about 9/11 or the aftermath without
thinking about Rudy’s abdication of responsibility. Why he still has a 9/11
halo is beyond me.

UPDATE: Biden’s campaign has reached out to me via email to let me know Senator Biden will indeed now be represented at YearlyKos. Biden’s campaign manager Luis Navarro’s post is up via a DailyKos diary. You have to love this title: Bill O’Reilly, you’re on notice.
