El Rushbo is in a tailspin. Using hour after hour to talk about how right he
is, when he’s wrong? Going after yet another veteran, Tom Harkin, while using
“phony soldiers” again and again. He’s very upset about VoteVets.org, too, evidently believing that veterans are also too stupid to be able to discern the truth for themselves. To know when they’ve been smeared. The truth is that Rush Limbaugh only supports one type of soldier: Republican. Democratic veterans are “phony soldiers” to him, as is any soldier who doesn’t stand silent and serving without protest. There is nothing more un-American.
So in his second hour, on Rush blathers. It proves one thing. Rush’s program is
all about him, only him and all things Rush. The only thing matters is the host.
He doesn’t care about anything else. He’s trying to save his reputation, which is in tatters.
But Rush implying that VoteVets.org soldiers and other military men and women are too stupid to be able to
tell the truth for itself just adds insult to slur. They know exactly what Rush did and they’re coming after him.
An anti-war group consisting of veterans from the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan
is launching an ad Tuesday that attacks popular conservative talk show host
Rush Limbaugh. The group, VoteVets.org, is spending $60,000 on the ad, which will air on
Fox News and CNN. In addition, a radio version of the ad will run during Limbaugh’s
show in Washington, D.C., and Palm Beach, Fla., the group said. … ..
Media Matters has caught Rush red handed not only doctoring tapes, but lying
about his own intent. That’s got him all a twitter. Anyone daring to target the swiftboater will be destroyed, even if Media Matters has links, proof and backs up everything they print. That’s more than you can say about Rush and his wingnut cohorts. Remember Rush repeating that Bill Clinton had murdered someone? How about Sean Hannity implying Vince Foster was murdered? He did that just this year yet again. Remember all the smears he lobbed against Senator Kerry, a Democratic veteran, Jack Murtha, Max Cleland, all “phony soldiers” because they’re Democrats?
Now Rush has apologized to the soldiers he called “phony,” for Democrats catching him in the act. He
simply isn’t big enough to apologize for his “phony soldiers” — plural —
slur.
Operation save Rush Limbaugh is in full swing. The host is freaking out and leading the charge himself.
