Clinton Campaign Plants Question at Iowa Event

In the what were they thinking department?, this is a beauty.

Here’s how ABC reported it.

The Clinton campaign has admitted to planting questions in Iowa. They have
confirmed that a campaign staffer approached a student to ask Sen. Clinton
a question about global warming during a campaign stop at a biodiesel plant
in Newton, Iowa, on Nov. 6. … ..

… .. Clinton Campaign spokesperson Mo Elleithee tells ABC News that “on
this occasion a member of our staff did discuss a possible question about
Sen. Clinton’s energy plan at a forum. However, Sen. Clinton did not know
which questioners she was calling on during the event. This is not standard
policy and will not be repeated again.” … ..

Clinton
Camp Admits To Planting Questions

Interesting to note that Major Garrett of Fox “News” reported it more accurately, with the specific question as well.

The tape of the event shows that the question and answer went as follows:

Question: “As a young person, I’m worried about the long-term effects of global warming How does your plan combat climate change?

Clinton: “Well, you should be worried. You know, I find as I travel around Iowa that it’s usually young people that ask me about global warming.”

The campaign’s admission that it planted the question may be another blow to the New York senator’s image as a trustworthy politician.

Clinton’s critics have accused her of being a double-talker who refuses to answer tough questions specifically. Now her campaign has acknowledged planting at least one question. … ..

Whether it’s “at least one question” or “questions” as ABC
reports, this is as stupid as it gets. An amateur mistake that you wouldn’t expect from the Clinton team. The campaign will have to take this one
on the chin. They deserve to.
