Missed the show? Podcast is up.
The Iowa Debate, with Clinton and Edwards the winners; Obama ducks trade; Shaheen resigns.
“Well, everybody on this stage has an idea about how to get change. Some believe you get change by demanding it, Some believe you get it by hoping for it. I believe you get it by working hard for change. That’s what I’ve done my entire life. That’s what I will do as president.” – Hillary Clinton
Consider this a debate thread. My show will air afterwards.
This is interesting. The Obama campaign is raising money off of Shaheen’s remarks yesterday. Money will stop stupid remarks! Please donate. Much like the Novak nonsense, it doesn’t seem to matter that the Clinton campaign immediately disavowed Shaheen’s comments, with Hillary apologizing personally. This coming from Obama’s organization, the one that put out “D-Punjab,” as well as targeting progressives like Paul Krugman, and calling Clinton “Bush-Cheney lite.”
Lots to talk about.
Let me add, Kucinich was “booted” from the Iowa debate today. It’s a big article on “Digg.” I want to bring your attention to the new “Digg” feature at the top of each post. If you think a post is particularly important, let’s start getting some of my work on “Digg.” It’s another way you can support this blog.
Hope you can join me after the debate.
UPDATE II: Billy Shaheen stepped down today (which I talked about on my show in the last hour). It was the right move.
“I would like to reiterate that I deeply regret my comments yesterday
and say again that they were in no way authorized by Senator Clinton or the
Clinton campaign. Senator Clinton has been running a positive campaign focused
on the issues that matter to America’s families. She is the best qualified
to be the next President of the United States because she can lead starting
on day one. I made a mistake and in light of what happened, I have made the
personal decision that I will step down as the Co-Chair of the Hillary for
President campaign. This election is too important and we must all get back
to electing the best qualified candidate who has the record of making change
happen in this country. That candidate is Hillary Clinton.”
UPDATE: Mitchell on steroid abuse in baseball. It’s not pretty, people.
