Be a Blog Patron – Give Monthly!

First, a heartfelt thank you to all who have participated in the fundraiser
so far. Some even pledged to monthly support, like you would a magazine or any
other news outlet. I’m so very grateful.
To those of you who have not given, I’m going to ask you to please
take the plunge.
This is about one thing and one thing only: breaking even on this
blog.
Fundraising will now have to be a regular feature until I get past the funding
hurdle. Obviously, some of you simply can’t give, which I understand. But you
can send emails, talk to friends about this blog or my radio show, as well as
Spotlight and “Digg” my posts. I need you all to participate in helping
expand my audience, as I do the same on my side through marketing outreach.
Believe me, there are many things you can do beyond just give money. If we can
expand my audience I can get more advertising too.
One word about “Spotlight,” which as at the end of the posts. You
can send my blog posts out to the traditional media. It’s very simple. Some
of the things I cover no one else is paying attention to and you can help change
that fact.
Any help you can give will be appreciated. Those who have already given, again,
a huge thanks. Others of you, please do whatever you can. I
need to start breaking even on this blog.
From last week… a word about our fundraiser…
Anyone who has been around here for very long knows I hate doing fundraisers.
But they’re necessary. The work I do costs money and getting into the New Year
things will be even more expensive. I simply cannot do it without your support,
even beyond what you do every day by just coming here. I won’t belabor the point,
but I’d appreciate you giving what you can. The banner above shows you the way
to PayPal.
You can also do a recurring
donation through Blog Patron. You can even use
your credit card at PayPal. My snail mail address is on the far right-hand
side margin.
I hear from some of you who are in college, the military as well, with budgets
that are very tight. Believe me, I understand. I appreciate you reading or listening
to my show every day. Everyone who comments here also is supporting what I do.
If you’re one of the people whose budget doesn’t allow big donations, give
five dollars. If everyone did that I’d more than meet our goal in a day.
Then send an email to two friends and tell them about this blog. We need to
grow this audience so I get more ads for the election year. Some day I won’t
have to do another fundraiser. (Dear Santa… Send someone to pick up my
radio show!) I’m not there yet, however.

In the primary season alone we’ve made a difference through what I do around
here. A big difference. We’ve smacked quite a few people around and gotten results.
