| Clinton in Memphis. |
David Gregory and Keith Olbermann talked about the fact that Hillary Clinton
is moving on, thinking about February 5th. They said Clinton is not being gracious
about Obama’s win. Regardless of the thumping she took in South Carolina, her reaction beats the hell out of Obama’s sour grapes after Nevada, I’d say. But again, they need another thread about those evil Clintons, regardless
of the fact that she congratulated him, then did so again in Memphis. MSNBC commentators also talked
all night about the evils of Bill Clinton; the one exception being Pat Buchanan, which is hilarious in itself. It’s a common thread throughout the
traditional media right now. Bad boy Bill Clinton. There’s only one problem, especially when commentators, political writers and bloggers start jumping on the beat up Bill bandwagon.
This is short-term talking, short-term thinking, without any sense of how quickly all this will be forgotten. In politics, memories fade
and other things take center stage. All the hand wringing being done over Bill
Clinton’s role is not only ridiculous, but seen in this small snapshot of time will one day read as juvenile cub reporting.
So, she’s on to a Memphis townhall, which is airing on C-SPAN. When Joe Scarborough talked about it momentarily, he said “You’ve got to admit it’s not quite as electric as Barack Obama.” Mike Taibi said yes, then while he was saying, “But you have to give her credit,” Joe Scarborough laughed out loud. And so it continues, even without Chris Matthews. But even Joe had to give Clinton her due.
“This is a remarkable woman.” – Joe Scarborough
One of the questions at Clinton’s Memphis townhall came from a man who asked why the cable media is so biased against her. She
didn’t touch it.
