Clinton Up Amidst Obama’s String of Wins

Only one conclusion, the scrutiny on Obama is working, at least to weight him
down a bit. The attacks are landing. What else can you take from this? Obama
has been on an amazing string of wins, including huge blow outs in the Potomac
primaries. Wisconson was when the shift began and the rhetoric got heated. It’s
also about the time the plagiarism charges reared up. Obama’s been hit with
quite a few stories on it, with ripoff after ripoff surfacing in YouTubes, the
above the latest. Now regular readers know I rarely offer up polls, so it’s
not so much that Clinton is up that has me posting on this, with a tie the result,
but that Obama isn’t up big amidst a string of huge wins. This is just
one snap shot today, so please realize this, as well as other variable that
go with any mentioning of polls.

Gallup
shows Clinton up
from 42% to 44%; with Obama dropping from 47% to 45%. Again,
this is amidst all of his wins.

Hotline
has Clinton up as well:

In the latest Diageo/Hotline poll, which surveyed 803 registered voters between
February 14 and 17, Hillary Clinton leads Barack Obama 45-43% among Dem primary
voters, with 7% undecided.

Obama still has the wind at his back, but these polls are likely a bit frustrating
for their campaign, even in the midst of tied
polls in Texas
, where I warned all of you things would get tough, mainly
because of the ANGRY
WHITE MALES
, with below an excerpt from that piece:

There is one group no one has recognized, and it is the group that will
decide the election: the Angry White Man. The Angry White Man comes from all
economic backgrounds, from dirt-poor to filthy rich. He represents all geographic
areas in America, from urban sophisticate to rural redneck, deep South to
mountain West, left Coast to Eastern Seaboard.

Most important, the Angry White Man is pissed off. … ..

… .. He also votes, and the Angry White Man loathes Hillary Clinton.
Her voice reminds him of a shovel scraping a rock. He recoils at the mere
sight of her on television. Her very image disgusts him, and he cannot fathom
why anyone would want her as their leader
. … ..

Ohio is already getting tighter. But as Clinton’s message becomes sharper, including on trade,
jobs and the economy, the better she does and the more Obama gets weighted
down. That said, it’s still going to take quite an effort to stop him.

But Clinton’s team has got to like these numbers.

An opportunity to make some more headway comes tonight in the CNN debate. It
would help Clinton immensely if she could win the Texas media cycle coming out
of it.
