Enlightenment is a Far Piece Away

No tears from me.

The death
of a thug
. I’m with Larry Johnson on this one. Had a bit of bubbly myself
tonight, so I tip my glass to Bogata where Larry is tonight. I hope he enjoyed his cigar. It was a long time coming.

… .. Call me a callous troglodyte or an antiquedated cold warrior, but
payback is payback. I don’t fault Imad for attacking our Marines at
the airport in Beirut. That was a fair fight and it was the fault of Ronald
Reagan and his team who did not allow our Marines to have rules of engagement
necessary to protect themselves. But murdering Colonel Rich Higgins, a UN
advisor, and Navy diver Robert Stethem, and helping kidnap and hold hostage
people like Terry Anderson, Terry Waite, and others has no excuse.

I am sorry for the suffering of the Palestinian people, but if you are going
to jump into the battle and take on the United States expect to pay the piper.
And Imad Mughniyeh paid his debt today. Our collection agency still has some
bills to collect on Osama Bin Laden and Ayman al Zawahiri.

Bye Bye Imad

Imad Mughniyeh’s murderous deeds go back to the massacre at the Marine barracks
in 1983, or at least we think so. Mughniyeh is also believed responsible for
the reprehensible and inhuman torture of C.I.A. Chief William Buckley and as
Larry reminds us, Marine Colonel Rich Higgins. Now he’s gone. Good riddance. I won’t shed a tear.
