I’ve been into Disney memorabilia for a long time. From 1928. Steamboats. The Big Muddy. Mississippi today, where Senator Obama is unwinding whoppers again, floating fictional falsehoods to voters that it was the Clinton camp that released the photo of him in Kenyan dress, when it’s been proven it was not:
“When in the midst of a campaign you decide to throw the kitchen sink at your opponent because you’re behind and your campaign starts leaking photographs of me when I’m traveling overseas wearing the native clothes of those folks to make people afraid, and then you run an ad talking about who’s going to answer the phone at three in the morning, an ad straight out of the Republican playbook, that’s not real change.” – Barack Obama in Mississippi
Like in South Carolina, Barack Obama is playing whatever card he has to in order to win.
Then it’s on to Pennsylvania
Oh, and I’m again reminded why it’s good to be an Episcopalian:
Pope Benedict XVI has spoken out on social issues throughout his three-year papacy. He backs a current political initiative to outlaw abortions after 90 days and encouraged Catholics to abstain from a 2005 referendum on easing restrictive laws on fertility treatments, which failed to achieve the 50 percent participation level to make the vote to change the law binding.
The seven social sins are:
1. “Bioethical” violations such as birth control
2. “Morally dubious” experiments such as stem cell research
3. Drug abuse
4. Polluting the environment
5. Contributing to widening divide between rich and poor
6. Excessive wealth
7. Creating poverty
