In Praise of Hillary’s ‘Lunch Bucket’ Big Shots

Seat Michigan and Florida

On behalf of the Clinton supporters who frequent this blog, people who have
written and written about counting Florida and Michigan, TM.com salutes the
Lunch Bucket Big Shots
standing up to the elite DC Democrats and the progressive elitists who think
blue collar Democrats don’t deserve to be heard out in this primary season.

Prominent backers of Hillary Clinton sent a multi-million-dollar message
to Capitol Hill this week: Watch out, Nancy Pelosi. In a letter to the Speaker
of the House that urged her to stay out of the debate over how superdelegates
should cast their votes, the 20 major Democratic donors didn’t call direct
attention to the $23.6 million that they’ve given to the Democratic Party
since 1999, but they reminded her of their “enthusiastic” support
over the years.

“We appreciate your activities in support of the Democratic Party and
your leadership role in the Party and hope you will be responsive to some
of your major enthusiastic supporters,” online copies of the letter read.

Democratic Donors Send
$24 Million Letter to Pelosi

I’ve said it before: Back. Off.

There isn’t a Clinton supporter who doesn’t know the tough road ahead. Obama’s crafted it this way by stiffing Michigan and Florida, because if they had re-votes Obama’s advantage would change dramatically. But let’s face it, they’re too busy sucking stogies in the back room while stiffing Democratic voters in both of these states to care. Obama didn’t care if Ohio counted every vote in 2004, so he’s true to his core on this one.

From Mark
Ambinder
:

Kempner said he sent the petition to thousands of Democratic donors and activists.
In his e-mail to them, he calls Obama’s “tactics” in “seeking
to disenfranchise more than two million voters in Florida and Michigan”
those of “division and deception.”

“For whatever reason, the DNC seems to be captive of the Obama campaign,”
he said in an interview. “The fact is that many, many long-time supporters
both financially and non-financially, that have a very different point of
view. We very much want to put them on notice.”

Kempner said that the petititon’s language should not be interpreted by DNC
chairman Howard Dean as a threat to withhold donations. But, he said, “We
want the chairman to exercise some leadership.”

Supporters of the first viable female candidate in U.S. history appreciate Clinton’s “Lunch Bucket” Big Shots for standing up to the DC Democrats’ darling, the Obama blogs, and the Teflon candidate who gets away with daily character assassinations, while talking out of the other side of his mouth about “another kind of politics.” Thanks to you all for taking a stand. Someone besides us had to.
