A huge financial story with Bear Stearns today and the market, but where’s
John McCain? On a field trip to Iraq. Does he look presidential or hopelessly
out of touch? Looks like he’ll travel to the ends of the earth to keep from
talking about the economy. Not very confidence inspiring considering the market
shakes going on.

Regular listeners will likely remember that Bonddad and I talked about this
coming economic collapse months ago, though Bear Stearns going for $2/share
sure wasn’t part of it.
Also, “Stretch” gets his own show. “Road to the White House” debuts today, 6:00 p.m. eastern
