With Pennsylvania so close, this poll is obviously important. It’s a snapshot
of the debate aftermath, which clearly hurt Obama.
Frankly, I think the whining is hurting Senator Obama even more nationally.
It’s in no way comparable to Clinton talking about being asked the first question
all of the time, which is what Obama’s team is trumpeting. That simply enables
your opponent to always riff off of your great answers, giving him a platform
you supplied by being first. If this happens continually, which it does in the
Tim Russert debates, Obama is never put on the spot first, but can always have
Clinton’s lead in. That should be easy enough to understand. Like in a spelling
bee, it’s always better to have others go first.
There is clearly movement right now. It’s also obvious that the Clinton team knew it, because she continued her focus, despite the whining from people that she’s using Republican tactics, which is the most ludicrous thing I’ve ever heard. I guess if you frame it that Republicans fight, but Democrats usually don’t, well then maybe you’re correct.
Oh, and to add, for those of you who can’t count, Obama’s down from an 11 point lead to only 3 points in a week. Translation: for this snapshot in time, the bottom has fallen out.
