Where’s the 20
point lead in Oregon? Where’s his 12 point lead? As everyone knows, and
as Ed Schultz has been bloviating, Obama will be in Iowa tomorrow night to declare…
what? That he squeaked by in Oregon? We’ll have to see what the final number
is, but the polls are not showing a big blow out like the Obama team has been
teasing for weeks.
UPDATE: SUSA shows the polling at 55% Obama – 42% Clinton. Obama by 10 or 11% is what I’m thinking, but we’ll see what late deciders do.
As for Kentucky,
Clinton’s ahead 51 to 25, with 11% undecided.
But even on top of a huge win in West Virginia, Sen. Robert C. Byrd has endorsed
Barack Obama. The biggest reason I feel he did so was Obama’s speech on the
war. I don’t think anyone can doubt that if Hillary Clinton had voted against
authorizing Bush’s debacle in Iraq she’d already be our nominee. It’s a vote
that cost her a lot, which she continues to pay for every day.
“As people all across this great nation know, I have been one of the
most outspoken opponents of the Bush administration’s misguided war in Iraq
and its saber rattling around the globe,” Byrd said. … .. “Barack
Obama is a noble-hearted patriot and humble Christian, and he has my full
faith and support,” Byrd concluded.
Iraq-Iraq-Iraq.
The Brokered One and his speech. Harsh lessons learned.
