“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” Obama said at a fundraiser in Philadelphia Friday, according to pool reports.
It’s the quote I’ve had in headlines this weekend. Good enough for discussion. I’ve seen Obama and his team in action in the primaries. So when I read this quote it made me smile. “New kind of politics” has nothing to do with it. It’s the Chicago way, baby. I just want us to win. So reading the quote gave me reason to believe we just might be able to pull this off.
Meanwhile, it’s early, but Gallup has Obama and McCain tied.
Happy Father’s day to all you dads. A shout out goes to my big brother, too, who has been my dad for my whole life, as well as my hero. I can’t imagine my life without his influence and guidance. Another shout out to my husband, who is the greatest dad around. …and to all you moms and women who have to also do dad duty. I know there are a lot of you out there.
