Standing with Hillary

BY TAYLOR MARSH

Many people are not ready to move on. Ellen Malcolm of Emily’s list is one of them. I received her email earlier today. Ben Smith posted the whole thing.

Those of us who have been wholehearted supporters of Sen. Clinton feel disappointment and sadness, even anger, that this opportunity to elect a fine candidate and the first woman president is passing us by. So many EMILY’s List members put their all into this campaign — money, yes, but also time and energy traveling to primary states, working phone banks, and canvassing precincts. My heart is with you, as I am working through my own emotional turmoil. I fervently believe that this anger and grief will subside, leaving me with a deep sense of pride at what Hillary has accomplished for women. But I have not yet reached that point in my journey, and I know many of you feel the same way.

By the way, Clinton’s event tomorrow can be seen on her website, so you can bypass the cable bloviators if you want.

Tomorrow is the most important speech Clinton will make for her career and her future. It also begins the first step to beating McCain.

Standing beside Hillary to help her move forward, taking the power she’s earned with her, making it count for something, I’m there. I’m proud to walk beside the strongest female leader seen in the Democratic Party in modern times. Any time. Anywhere. Any year. I’m there. Not since Eleanor Roosevelt has there been such a leader. I stand with Hillary.

Late night open thread. Hash it out. But don’t wake the rabble.
