Our National Nightmare…

BY TAYLOR MARSH

…is almost, well, about to end… we hope.

However humorous this new MoveOn.org ad, people don’t vote on hope. In fact, this actually mocks what many of us are searching to find: someone who can offer solutions to the nations problems. It also takes a lot for granted.

Obama’s now been on the defensive for days over his canceled military hospital trip. If you’re explaining, you’re losing.

Frankly, this ad is way too laid back for where Barack Obama stands today with the American voter. We got the “hope” message. Where’s the beef? More importantly, where’s the laser targeted hits on McCain’s voting record, on veterans and womens issues? Relentlessness wins. Humor does too, but only when directed at your opponent.

Open thread. Yackity-yak. Whatever is on your mind.

TM NOTE: It’s tough out here for everyone during these summers months. Please support our advertisers by clicking thru on the ads. Seriously, every day, once, whenever you can. It matters a great deal to this site. Also see the BlogAd over on the far right. These smaller blogs need your help and your traffic. Please visit if you possibly can. Again, it’s tough out here for everyone right now. Your support is vital to us all. Thanks.
