John McCain and Hillary Clinton shared cocktails on long trips as well.
So, I’ve decided to institute some rules of the house and introduce Tip O’Neill Cocktail Time, which comes with an after hours pledge. This is where conversation is encouraged, especially on politics, of course, though anything goes. But no petty bickering, bad mouthing or general rudeness allowed. Anyone breaking the Tip O’Neill Cocktail Time pledge has to give $5 to his or her candidate of choice, congressional hopefuls included. Honor system applies.
So, on that note, what are you drinking tonight?
