Tough, smart, on point ad.
“Every vet respects John McCain’s war record. It’s his record in the Senate that I have a problem with. He wants us to keep spending $10 billion in Iraq, just like Bush. … He even took sides with Bush against increasing health care benefits for veterans. People should let John McCain know. His agenda is not what we need, not now.”
No apologies, with respect for John McCain’s service rolled in. You know, just like Wes Clark did only to get pilloried for making a cogent and important point.
We respect McCain’s service to his country. However, his Senate record is abysmal on issues that matter to Democrats, including veterans, but also to your average American.
I’m at an evening birthday picnic tonight (for my amazing hubby and one of his sons). So let’s make this an open thread. The floor is yours.
