Inside Blogger Central

by Scott Hopkins
Reporting from Denver

So far, it’s becoming clear that the main obstacle for bloggers covering the convention is a surprisingly pedestrian one: laptop power.

As you can see from the photo, it’s often difficult to find a place to sit inside the Big Tent, much less plug in. And if you do get lucky, the battery that you’re plugged into will most likely die before you get anywhere near the juice that you need. Currently, I’m forced to be a “squatter”, living off a power strip next to the credentials station. Growing pains for the new media, I suppose.

I attended a couple of great events today, which I will have more on later. For now, the DNC headliners continue.
