Would a Pro Choice Veep Help McCain?

BY TAYLOR MARSH

“Touch my sign and I’ll kill you.”

John McCain needs help on the issue of women’s civil rights. He’s awful on equal pay as well.

Tom Ridge? He’s “pro choice.” Not only would Pennsylvania be in play, but it’s the pick that worries
me the most.

Joe Lieberman? He’s “pro choice,” too. But it also means Iran would be the primary focus of our foreign policy instead
of Pakistan and Central Asia, which wouldn’t be a good move at all.

What would happen if John McCain went towards women’s civil rights in his vice
presidential pick? His base would go berserk, but would they stay home? I think that’s what John McCain is weighing right now.
