Watch this clip of Barack Obama in Duryea, Pennsylvania yesterday and ask yourself what’s missing.
The suit, the tie, the teleprompter, the soaring speechifying…to name a few.
And what’s there? Rolled-up sleeves, populism, specific proposals, empathy, and an engaging sense of humor.
Is this the Barack Obama of early September…or the Hillary Clinton of late April? No matter. If we see this during the debates against John McCain, it will be no contest.
Whether the “celebrity” ads rattled them, or the Saddleback forum worried them…whatever it was, we can see Barack The Fighter emerging here just in time for the home stretch.
This is how a Democrat wins the White House.
