Sunday Morning News

BY TAYLOR MARSH

What are you reading this morning?

TM.com’s suggestion is Foreign Affairs: The Next President, by Richard Holbrooke; Just Causes, by Christopher Hitchens; There will be blood, by Nicholas Shaxson. How to leave a stable Iraq, co-written by O’Hanlan, among others, continues the talking points that American can actually “win” in Iraq, though it’s clear that “winning” has been defined down to “stabilizing” Iraq, which is built on the premise we know what that means, though we don’t without leaving it and seeing what happens in the void.

Below is who’s talking on the Sunday shows. One of my favorites, Paul Begala, is on “Meet the Press.” Paul and I had a great discussion at the Democratic convention. He continues to be one of the most astute analysts on the race to date. Hero Senator Russ Feingold, who voted against the bailout, is on “Face the Nation.” Senator Sherrod Brown, who is always interesting, is on “Face the Nation.”

Meet the Press: Dem strategist Begala, former McCain aide Mike Murphy

Face the Nation: Sen. Feinstein and Gov. Granholm

Fox News Sunday: Karl Rove

This Week: Gov. Rendell and Gov. Pawlenty; Sen. Mel Martinez and Sen. Sherrod Brown

Late Edition: McCain aide Nancy Pfotenhauer, Obama aide Linda Douglass; Bloomberg, Reps. Emanuel, Blackburn

Fareed Zakaria’s “Global Public Square”: Foreign policy and world leaders; guests TBD.

Let me know what caught your eye today. Share links we all should read (as always, foreign policy related links especially appreciated), videos we should see.

The floor is open.
