One thing, Holder, according to Isikoff on CNN hasn’t yet filled out the Obama questionnaire. So it seems to me that this isn’t quite done.
Holder got heat for his part in the Marc Rich pardon, but Obama’s team reportedly isn’t worried about it at all. All according to Isikoff.
UPDATED: NBC news confirms Holder has been offered the A.G. job. Pete Williams said Obama’s team wanted an easy confirmation, so they conferred with senators on Holder’s nomination. The pardon for Marc Rich was part of the conversation with these senators, according to Williams. Reception on the Hill will be a “warm one,” solidifying the choice.
