Chris Matthews hit the class warfare issue of the Big 3 bailout on the head today on “Hardball.” Paraphrasing, if you shower before work you got your bailout money easily. If you shower after work you had to beg for it. (For the record, my husband showers after work. In fact, when he comes in the door he has to scrub his hands too.) The UAW made concessions to help the Big 3 get it done.
Now, this doesn’t mean one bailout is more important, however, it does emphasize how we judge money, workers and income in this country. The video of Michael Moore above says it all, especially his ideas about telling the Big 3 what they have to manufacture. I’m for a real push on light rail in this country, for starters.
A majority of Americans are against the bailout of the Big 3. What are your thoughts?
