RNC Chairman Duncan Jumps on Blago Complaint

BY TAYLOR MARSH

Not waiting a moment, RNC Chairman Mike Duncan, who is seeking re-election, had a conference call today hitting
Obama hard on the Blago complaint investigation. Duncan was on point. “Americans voted for change. Barack Obama
promised the most honest and open administration in history…” That’s not what’s happening, according to the RNC chairman. I know, you’re shocked he’d say such a thing. Duncan then took his conference call to MSNBC, talking to Norah O’Donnell who smacked him around but good on his insinuations about Obama, Duncan’s talking points the same as what was said on the call.

“We are going to be the loyal opposition.” – RNC Chairman Duncan

“Chicago politics at its absolutely worst.”

Insert Rezko here.

“SEIU might have been an intermediary” so Obama wouldn’t get his
hands dirty, insinuates Duncan. This was expected and as I noted yesterday. Republicans see an opening on unions and they’re going to exploit it for all it’s worth.

Duncan also didn’t shirk from asking the question of questions: What did he know and when did he know it?

“All these things really disappoint. … Beyond the line of horse trading.
…criples democracy.”

Insert another reference to SEIU here.

Duncan with a very broad brush: All the people working for Obama need to testify.

“He’s got to come clean and have a press conference,” Duncan responded
to a question, also taking a moment to mention Rezko again.

Republicans are using Blago and the dirty Chicago politician history to target Obama in whatever way he can.

No mention of Obama agreeing that Blagojevich should step down.

The President-elect agrees with Lt. Governor Quinn and many others that under the current circumstances it is difficult for the Governor to effectively do his job and serve the people of Illinois.

…or that Senate Dems are demanding it.
