Blagojevich Speaks After Impeachment

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h2wtcFe4HI4

After the statement above, Mr. Blagojevich continued talking… and talking… and talking. He’s some piece of work. Hello Governor Quinn:

According to state law, Pat Quinn, the lieutenant governor, assumed chief executive power upon the vote and was expected to take the oath of office for ceremonial purposes before the end of the day.Mr. Blagojevich still faces federal criminal charges in a wide-ranging corruption case that, among other things, accuses him of trying to sell President Obama’s former United States Senate seat to the highest bidder.

For all his bluster, Mr. Blagojevich didn’t take any of this very seriously. He looks like a guilty man using the media to get sympathy, creating a public character beyond his political persona. Actually, he reminds me of Gotti, minus the dead bodies and expensive suits. I’d say we don’t have Blagojevich to kick around anymore, but Patrick Fitzgerald hasn’t even gotten his chance. The saga will continue.

I really can’t imagine anything I care less about then what this moron has to say about anything unless it’s to confess.

I know little or nothing about Blago and Illinois politics. However, my sister is just about the happiest person in Illinois tonight. She has seen the Repubs and GWB out of power and now Blago replaced as Governor of Illinois. As she said to me, “I had a constant gag reflex whenever either came on the television.”

He is a marvel to watch, no doubt about it!

I too am glad to see this man ousted. His hubris was as bad as Richard Nixon’s.

Gosh, I’m going to miss him. Just when we all learned how to pronounce his name those other little politicians decided to chuck him.

Seriously, I’m not convinced that he’s done anything much worse than those who voted him out today. Politics is a dirty game. There’s an undefined line between what’s legal and illegal in politics; smart is sometimes dirty and deceit is often rewarded. I don’t trust outraged politicians. Public service is noble; politics is not.

Uhhh, actually NO! It is NOT undefined. If it was this schmuck would still be Governor. And for all the ill. citizens dancing in the street I have a question…who voted for him? SOMEBODY had to or he wouldn’t have been living in the Gov.s mansion. So while it IS nice that this clown is gone. Look in the mirror, the big top is still in town.

Certainly, there are defined legalities. It is my argument that they aren’t always acknowledged…kind of like holding in the NFL or traveling in the NBA. The aforementioned schmuck is out because he alienated everyone. It was in nobody’s interest to support him. IMHO, dishonesty in the political world is subjective and proof is often simply a matter of interpretation, either by friend or foe, depending upon whom is more influential at the moment. In this case, the State Senate simply ridded itself of a particularly disgusting carbuncle.

    Great entertainment!
They locked him out of his office within 2 minutes and removed his picture within 5.
