Dems Hit Republicans with Stimulus Ads

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6Qdt8uQm68&eurl

Consider it rapid response to die hard Republican partisanship. Americans United for Change, MoveOn.org Political Action, AFSCME and SEIU are hitting the Republicans hard, nationally, but also senators in their home states. More ads here.

Now that’s what I’m talking about. Bow yah! Seems like we do have dems with spines!

  2. TaylorMarsh 29 January 2009 at 3:16 pm #

No kidding. I just love it.

What we may be seeing is Obama’s velvet glove backed up by an activist punch from beyond. It’s a thing of beauty and let’s hope a teaser of things to come.

  3. dafederalist 29 January 2009 at 3:17 pm #

I was told that politics is a contact sport. Its about time we start kicking these republicans in the balls…..and a little mud in the eyes wouldn’t hurt the cause either!!!!

  4. justlen 29 January 2009 at 3:18 pm #

I’m looking forward to him hammering on Wall Street bonuses today.

  5. dafederalist 29 January 2009 at 3:21 pm #

Kudos justlen but he is going to need all hands on deck!

The Repubs have done themselves a terrible disservice with this vote against the stimulus package. Obama can now say “I tried to play nice, be inclusive but…” blah blah blah. My way of thinking is that Obama owes the Repubs nothing and the Dems better get used to the idea that they are the ones in power now and start acting appropriately.

  7. dafederalist 29 January 2009 at 3:24 pm #

It is no longer acceptable for families to twist in the wind after being foreclosed on and laid off from work while wall street sips champaigne and buy 50 million dollar jets….while collecting 16 billion dollars in bonuses!!!!!

  8. justlen 29 January 2009 at 3:29 pm #

The Obamatron is coming on now.

  9. justlen 29 January 2009 at 3:44 pm #

So what’s this about Judge Pohl defying the Executive Order and moving forward with a Gitmo trial?

  10. Audiegrl 29 January 2009 at 3:45 pm #

This is an example of how Obama always has a long-range game plan. He is hitting them where it hurts…voters…and he looks like the grown-up in Washington.

When in doubt, just look at this graphic..:-)

Obama gave the Repubs enough rope to hang themselves, and they did yesterday. Once again, they are tone deaf to what is happening to people who voted for them.

Tommorrow Obama will be meeting with organized labor in the White House to sign labor friendly executive orders.

As David Corn just asked Gibbs about in the press conference, Eric Cantor (R) just shot off a email accusing the White House and Gibbs of threatening them. By this I assume he means, they are feeling some heat from the voters in his district, and don’t like the commercials running in his back yard.

The White House plans everyday to continue mentioning job losses in each state specifically. There is no way the Republicans can keep fighting the tide. Or if they
do, they are making a huge mistake. :-)

What part of “America is in a financial/economic crisis” does the GOP not understand? Regardless of what we may think about the stimulus package, whether we approve of all or part of it, the GOP is beginning to look like not only obstructionists but also like they want the people of this country to belly up. If they can’t have their way they are willing to throw all of us under the bus?

he wasn’t talking to them, he was speaking to the potential jury pool for his criminal trial. He only needs one sympathetic juror, and he is in the wind…writing his memoirs, hosting his own TV show, who knows.

Taylor I think Halperin is a closet Repub, your take on his ‘Morning Joe’ comment was right on and Mica after being in a near swoon all during the election cycle she was inane this moring.

I think many in the village have spent the last 8 years in cozy relationships with all the Repub operatives and I just wonder how much grease(by that I mean access) they are getting from Obama’s people.

They all make too much money and I notice one of their biggest worries is that “their” taxes are going to be raised. David Gregory spent about 10 minutes on MTP on that subject.

  21. IndyRobin 29 January 2009 at 5:48 pm #

Wow … not one person for for Blago. He’s history. No future office allowed in IL

  40. IndyRobin 29 January 2009 at 6:34 pm #

Yeah I’m reading about it right now. My point being I don’t want to have to sit through day after day of people constantly going on and on about Bill and his oeverseas work.
Most of these are the same crazies eho tried to convince people he was “racist” and I’m sick of it and them.
